SOMIZI’S GOT MZANSI TALKING ABOUT HIS NEW SHOW,’DOWNTIME WITH SOMIZI’

It is no exaggeration to say that Somizi Mhlonngo had a difficult year in public, thanks to the drama about his unsuccessful marriage to his ex-husband Mohale Motaung. 

Nevertheless, the Idols SA judges still appear to be a compensated screen personality.  Recently, before Season 5 of the reality show Living the Dream with Somizi Mhlongo, which premiered at Showmax on May 4, revived, Mhlongo debuted a new talk show called Downtime with Somizi with 1Magic. Last month, IOL Entertainment reported on the show: 

"For the first time, guests will participate in an incredibly fun and whimsical experience, and then embark on a relaxing and discreet dinner that delves into the topic of the subject." 

Show guests include Peggy Sue Khumalo, Connie Ferguson, Ntsiki Mazwai, Thandiswa Mazwai, TBo Touch, DJ Sbu, Bobby Motaung, Shauwn Mkhize, Anele Mdoda and Thembisa Nxumalo.  The first episode of the 

Show starred South African Aristo actresses Lillian Duvet and Mara Louw. 

In the final episode of the show, which aired on Friday night, fans praised Mhlongo's hosting skills and refreshing perspective. 

"I didn't expect this end," added alfonzowords2. "I accepted every word, every spell, every cure because it was so healthy and eloquently defined by @somizi. Must see! Vaya conDios # DownTimeWithSomizi # Wisdom".

BLACK COFFEE, A SOUTH AFRICAN DJ, HAS CREATED HISTORY BY WINNING A GRAMMY AWARD.

Nkosinathi Maphumulo, better known by his stage name Black Coffee, a South African DJ, is the first African DJ to win a Grammy. On Monday, April 4th, 2022, this successful DJ took home the award for best dance/electronic album at the 64th Grammy Awards . This is the first time in the category that a South African producer has won or been nominated. DJ Black Coffee, a South African music producer, won Best Dance/Electronic Album, beating out competitors such as Major Lazer and Ten City, with his seventh studio album, Subconsciously, released in 2021. Diplo, Pharell Williams, Usher, Sabrina Claudio, and Msaki were among the guests on the 12-track album, which was published in February 2021.
