Makhadzi gets queen’s welcome in Botswana ahead of her one-woman show.


Makhadzi has Mzansi proud and singing her praises after she filled up a stadium in Botswana. She held a one-woman show at the Royal Aria Stadium in Tlokweng on Saturday, 26 March and sold out. Pictures and videos from the event have been shared and circulated on social media, with people congratulating the singer

They said they are proud of her journey and her filling up a stadium in a foreign country. Twitter user Prince Emannuel said big ups to the singer. ‘’ Makhadzi is the woman she thinks she is. She has gained so much confidence and it’s working out well for her. Big ups to @makhadziSA.’’

Makhadzi who attended the Kgotla event was dressed in the same Setswana regalia, was showered with gifts by the Tlokweng village elders and royals. Recognised as one of the leading African stars, Makhadzi was hailed of her’ ’talent, influence, tremendous work’’ and contribution to the music scene. The multi-award-winning singer and performer ‘’got emotional over the presidential treatment’’ and said: ‘’I express my gratitude to the leaders of this country for allowing me to have my show here. Botswana is the only country that has show me so much love, even more than my own country.’’

Limpopo-born superstar Makhadzi has thanked her Botswana fans for making her dream come true. She performed on the 26th of march on Saturday in her one-woman show, she has been raving about and gave the people what they wanted. Her star power and stage presence are what she is loved for, and her fans couldn’t help but stand a queen.
