Quinton Jones and Minnie Dlamini have filed for divorce.
After TV celebrity, Minnie Dlamini announced her divorce from Quinton Jones, She has broken her social media silence. On February 15, the pair, who married in 2017 and broadcast their wedding celebration to the nation in a three-part documentary titled: Becoming Mrs Jones, announced their divorce. In 2017, Dlamini and Jones married in a lavish ceremony in the Western Cape, which was shown on Showmax as part of a three-part series called Becoming Mrs Jones
Jones and Dlamini have a one-year-old kid. The couple used social media to announce the end of Mr and Mrs Jones in a joint statement, explaining that they’ve been separated for months and that they’ve tried every avenue available to them to repair their marriage but have resorted to going their separate ways.
The couple attempted to save their marriage by meeting with family and a counselor, according to a joint statement. Following four years of marriage, Dlamini and Jones revealed that they have decided to divorce amicably. Dlamini stated in an Instagram statement that their issues began two years ago, following a devastating loss that resulted in emotional strain and post-traumatic anxiety.
“The emotional burden and post-traumatic agony of our individual loss exceeded our will,” the pair said, despite their best efforts to absorb the changes in motion. Minnie did not move in with Quinton when she moved into the residence. Quinton returned to his hometown to be with his mother and sister. Quinton was not there when she went to Cape Town for a holiday with Unathi Nkayi and their friends last year, indicating that they were certain about their split.
Unless the couple signs a prenuptial agreement, most marriages have community of property. We don’t know if Minnie and Quinton were married in community of property, but if they were, Minnie would be entitled to half of his assets. Quinton is expected to have a net worth of $3 million (R45.4 million) in 2021, according to Buzz South Africa.
The footballer, who was born in the United States, gained his fortune through his football career, as well as his work as a television producer and sponsorships for appearing in advertising. M-Net reportedly paid the couple R6 million for the rights to broadcast their wedding
The couple claimed that the losses they’d suffered together over the last two years, as well as the emotional strain and post-traumatic distress they’d been through individually, had prompted them to divorce.
